Tips on how to set up your device for treatment

  • Place the machine on a hard level surface close to where you sleep.
  • Plug the machine into a standard electrical outlet.
  • Check the air inlet filter to ensure it is in place and free of dust.
  • Connect one end of the tubing (hose) to the airflow outlet on the machine and the other end to the mask (or valve).
  • Put on your mask and turn on the device (some devices start automatically on breathing detection).
  • Activate the ramp if needed.

How to care for your device and mask

The Device:
  • Ensure the device is unplugged before cleaning it.
    Use a damp cloth and a soft detergent to clean the
    device. Ensure the device is completely dry before
    plugging it in again.

The Mask:
  • Remove the mask/nasal pillows from the headgear.
    Hand wash the mask regularly in mild soapy water.
    Rinse thoroughly and air dry.

  • Never use alcohol on the mask or nasal pillows as it
    can harm the mask.
Accessories: Filter/Headgear/Tubing
  • The grey/black foam filter must be
    washed every two weeks with mild
    soapy water.
  • Rinse thoroughly and dry, then reinstall.
  • Handwash the headgear and the tubing
    once a week in mild soapy water. Rinse
    thoroughly and air dry.

How to care for your humidifier:

  • Empty the humidifier every morning and let
    it air dry.
  • Fill the humidifier with fresh, distilled water
    every evening. Distilled water should always
    be used to avoid mineral deposit build-up.
  • Clean the humidifier chamber frequently to
    prevent mould growth by using undiluted white
    vinegar. Thoroughly rinse the humidifier with
    distilled or sterile water prior to its next use.

Follow these simple guidelines prior to moving or transporting your device:

  • Warning! To avoid electrical shock, always unplug the power cord from the wall outlet or DC power source before cleaning or moving the humidifier.
  • Caution: When moving your device and humidifier always remove
    and empty the water tank first.
  • Switch off power supply.
  • Remove and empty humidifier’s water tank from unit.
    Make sure all the water is removed.
  • Replace humidifier water tank into humidifier
    base. Unit is ready to be
    moved or transported.
